Doodle on the Clouds!

Rediscover that childhood wonder of cloud-watching and bring it to life on the page! Each photograph in this book becomes your canvas, inviting you to doodle whatever your imagination conjures. There’s no right or wrong—just endless creative possibilities. So grab a pencil, turn the book any way you like, and let the clouds inspire you to be a kid again.

IMAGINE

In the Imagine Phase, artists are encouraged to slow down and truly explore the cloud. Turn the page sideways, upside down—view it from every angle. Let your mind wander and search for hidden shapes, creatures, or scenes. This is where creativity begins: not with the pencil, but with your perspective. There’s no rush, no right answer—just the process of discovering what your imagination sees in the sky.

DISCOVER

In the Discover Phase, it’s time to bring your imagination to life. Now that you’ve explored the cloud from every angle, you begin outlining the shapes and forms you see hidden within. This is where your idea takes its first visible steps—soft strokes or bold lines help reveal a story only you can see in the sky.

CREATE

In the Create Phase, your vision fully comes to life. This is where you dive into the details—adding textures, expressions, movement, and background elements. It’s no longer just a shape or a sketch; it’s a full scene born from your imagination. Every line and flourish adds depth and personality, turning a simple cloud into something truly original.

“You can’t use up creativity. The more you use, the more you have.” – Maya Angelou

ABOUT

On their way back from a trip to the Oregon coast, Jordan and Lauren found themselves gazing out the window at the puffy clouds overhead, each seeing whimsical shapes that were nearly impossible to describe in words. So they snapped photos, pointing out where different parts of the cloud formed the images in their minds. In that moment, Cloudle was born—a playful mashup of “cloud” and “doodle” that perfectly describes drawing over the shapes in the sky.

Why Creativity Matters

Creativity isn’t just for artists—it’s a vital skill that helps us solve problems, express ourselves, and see the world in new ways. Whether you’re designing a business, writing a story, parenting a child, or navigating everyday challenges, creativity fuels innovation, adaptability, and emotional well-being.

“Creativity is the brain’s invisible muscle that, when used and exercised routinely, becomes better and stronger.” – Ashley Ormon

“I have never considered myself creative, but this book has pushed me to work on my creativity. At first, I struggled to find anything to draw. However, as I continued to work through the book, it became easier to think outside the box.”
